The Payback Question
Buy the Chamber, or Keep Paying Per Session?
Quick answer: A hyperbaric chamber pays for itself once the sessions you would otherwise pay for add up to more than the chamber's price. Use the calculator below with your own numbers — chamber price, sessions per month and per-session cost — to see the payback in months. For regular users, owning from ₹3.5 lakh usually beats paying per session.
If you use hyperbaric sessions regularly, there comes a point where the money spent on paying per session would have bought the chamber outright — after which every session is effectively free of that per-session cost, and you own the equipment. The payback period is simply how long that takes, and it depends on three numbers: what the chamber costs, how many sessions you do a month, and what each session would otherwise cost you. The calculator below works it out instantly from your figures.
TheHBOT.com is a multi-brand aggregator and on-demand manufacturer — we supply the chamber you own, and we do not run sessions or provide therapy. This tool is a buying aid, not a revenue projection or medical advice: it simply compares the cost of owning against the cost of paying per session, so you can decide whether buying makes sense for your usage. When the numbers point to owning, we help you choose and source the right chamber from ₹3.5 lakh.

Uses your chamber price, monthly sessions and per-session cost.
Soft chambers start low, so payback is often just months.
After payback you own the asset — we supply, you keep.

What Drives the Payback Period
Three inputs decide how fast a chamber pays back. Lower price and heavier use both shorten it.

How It Works
Understanding Your Hyperbaric Chamber Payback
How the payback calculation works
The maths is deliberately simple. Multiply your sessions per month by what each session would otherwise cost you, and that is the monthly per-session spend you avoid by owning. Divide the chamber's price by that monthly figure and you get the payback period in months — the point at which the money you would have spent on sessions equals what the chamber cost. For example, if a soft chamber costs ₹3.5 lakh and you do 20 sessions a month that would otherwise cost ₹3,000 each, you avoid ₹60,000 a month, so the chamber pays for itself in about six months. After that, you own the chamber and continue to avoid that per-session cost. The calculator above does this instantly for your own numbers.
What makes payback faster or slower
Two levers move the payback period most. The first is the chamber price: a soft chamber from ₹3.5 lakh pays back far faster than a clinical hard chamber at ₹15 lakh or more, simply because there is less to recover. The second is how heavily you use it — someone doing 25 sessions a month reaches payback more than twice as fast as someone doing 10. The per-session cost matters too: the more a session would otherwise cost you, the quicker owning wins. This is why regular, frequent users are almost always better off buying, while very occasional users may not reach payback for a long time. Put your real numbers into the calculator to see where you land rather than relying on a rule of thumb.
A worked example
Take a household doing regular mild sessions. A genuine soft chamber costs ₹3.5 lakh; the family does 20 sessions a month; each session paid elsewhere would cost ₹3,000. The monthly per-session spend avoided is ₹60,000, so the chamber pays for itself in roughly six months. Over three years, the per-session route would have cost more than ₹21 lakh, against a one-time ₹3.5 lakh to own — and at the end of it, the household owns the chamber rather than having a stack of receipts. Even a pricier ₹5 lakh chamber at a lighter 12 sessions a month pays back in well under a year and a half. The point is not the exact figures, which are yours to set, but the pattern: for anyone using sessions regularly, owning overtakes paying surprisingly quickly.
What the calculator does not include
To stay honest, the calculator shows only the core buy-versus-pay comparison and deliberately leaves out a few things. It does not include the chamber's running costs — electricity for the compressor, consumables and periodic maintenance — which are modest but real and vary by chamber type; our AMC and warranty guide covers those. It also is not a revenue projection: we are an equipment supplier, not a therapy provider, so this tool is about the cost you avoid as a buyer, not income. And it makes no medical claims. Treat the result as an illustrative guide to whether owning makes financial sense for your usage, then talk to us for real chamber prices to plug in.
When owning is the right call — and how we help
If the calculator shows payback in months rather than years, owning is almost certainly the better decision for you: you stop paying per session, you control access to the chamber, and you hold an asset with a long service life. When you are ready, we help you pick the right chamber for your use and budget across five brands, source it genuine with warranty, and deliver and support it across India. Because we compare brands rather than sell one, we will point you to the lowest-priced genuine chamber that fits — which also gives you the fastest payback. Put your numbers in above, then send them to us and we will return real model options and a delivered India price, usually within one business day.
